Genealogy Speaking and Research

Speaking

I am a public speaker, with over 10 years of experience, specializing in Polish-American genealogical research at all levels. I deliver the following presentations:

  • Beginning Polish-American Genealogical Research
  • Advanced Polish Genealogical Research
  • Stories in Genealogical Research: Polish Ancestry

The first presentation focuses on American sources to help begin one’s Polish American family tree.  The second presentation focuses on Polish sources to find one’s village of origin and take one’s family tree backwards as far as possible in time, with an overview of all types of records available in Poland from vital to census records.  The third presentation is based off of my recent article in the PGSA Rodziny publication that is a storytelling session that shows how I overcame brick-walls through a series of vignettes about my Polish ancestors.

My speaking credits include the Indian Prairie Public Library Genealogy Society, Arlington Heights Memorial Library, CAGGNI, Cook Memorial Public Library, Northwest Suburban Genealogy Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, DuPage County Genealogy Society, Elgin Genealogical Society, Naperville Public Library, Polish Genealogical Society of America (PGSA), Polish Genealogical Society of Michigan (PGSM), South Suburban Genealogical Society, Will-Grundy Genealogical Society, and more.

I am able to speak both in person in the Chicago metro area or virtually anywhere over Zoom/any other videoconferencing platform.  Feel free to send me a message via the form on the “Contact” page, and we can discuss potential programs.
